The Muizenberg Civic Centre hosted a celebration of LGBTQ+ pageantry on 10 October as contestants, performers and guests gathered for Mr and Miss Gay Metro Global 2026.
The evening’s biggest announcement crowned Adrian October as Mr Metro Global 2026 and Valentina Petronella as Miss Metro Global 2026. Both titleholders now begin a new chapter as representatives of the Metro Global community.
Lance Soldaat and Fabian Richter Jones kept proceedings moving as hosts, while the judging panel included Tatiana Lopez and multi-pageant winner Garth Arnolds.
Guests were treated to performances by Angel Lalamore, Anastacia Bovenhauzen, Marvin Leigh and Skye. A kiki ball segment added runway walks and voguing to the programme, giving contestants and performers a chance to showcase their style and skills.
Congratulations to Adrian and Valentina on their new titles. Their reigns offer a chance to champion queer visibility, connect with the community and make their mark throughout the year.
