Please note: Article submissions can be in English, Afrikaans, or Kaaps (we’re especially interested in articles that promote the use and love of Kaaps).

- Feature articles: In-depth explorations of various aspects of our culture, history, and identity.
- Opinion pieces: Thought-provoking essays on current issues, social commentary, and personal reflections related to the Coloured experience.
Reviews
Reviews of movies, literature, music, and theatre.
News
- News and achievements from individuals and organisations within the Cape Flats community.
- Press releases from Cape Flats artists, creatives, and cultural organisations regarding their work (music, fiction, theatre, art, etc.).
Creative Writing
- Excerpts from your poetry or fiction/non-fiction publications.
- Original poems or short stories specifically written for Cape Coloured Culture.
Photography
High-quality photographs that capture the beauty and essence of our culture. Please ensure that photography does not invade the privacy of individuals.
Videos
Short videos about your experiences, perspectives on specific issues, or recordings of community events. Please ensure that video recordings do not invade the privacy of individuals.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Please submit your work electronically via email to submissions@capecolouredculture.
- Include a brief bio of yourself and your connection to the Cape Coloured community.
- We do not accept AI-generated work.
- Writers and creatives will receive an author page on our website.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to offer payment for submissions at this time. However, we hope this platform will enrich your writing portfolio

Please submit your article as a Word document or Google Doc.
Please ensure your article is well-written, properly researched, and free of grammatical errors.
For photography and video
- Please submit high-resolution images or videos.
- Please provide captions or descriptions for your images and videos.
For art
- Please submit high-quality images of your artwork.
- Please provide information about the artwork, such as its title, medium, and dimensions.
