Grammy week in Los Angeles is famous for its invite-only parties, and this year, DJ Chelsea Sloan was right in the mix.
She represented Cape Town at one of the week’s most exclusive parties. Johnnie Walker hosted the Global Ambassadors Grammy experience at Max and Helen’s to toast to their partner Sabrina Carpenter. With Carpenter being a six-time nominee, the guest list was a mix of the creatives and executives who run the music world.
The space was filled with cherry-coloured decor and flowers, creating a playground for the fashion-forward crowd. Sloan fit the brief perfectly, wearing a transparent gown with intricate silver beads and a floral asymmetrical bodice. Her Instagram post from the night showed off the floor-length look, complete with a high slit that worked well for the Larchmont Boulevard setting.
She is a woman of many titles: a South African sprinter, a professional dancer, and a model. On top of her creative pursuits, she also graduated as a physiotherapist.
