Afrikaans Rapper Junior King Dies in Car Accident

What Happened to Junior King?
The local Afrikaans hip hop community and fans are in mourning following the tragic death of popular Gqeberha rapper and dancer, Junior King (real name: Dugulth Ferreira) The musician was involved in a car accident near Bloemfontein on 11th December.
A shocking video circulating widely on social media captures the devastating aftermath of the accident, which reportedly occurred when the artist’s car collided with the side of a truck.
The footage shows the mangled wreck of the vehicle and includes images of victims both inside and outside the car on the road. An eyewitness, whose account is featured in the video, described seeing the car pass him just minutes before the crash. The eyewitness distressingly claims that the body visible in the backseat is that of Junior King.

It has been confirmed that Junior King’s children were with him in the vehicle at the time of the accident. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving emergency medical treatment. Updates on their condition are awaited.
From TikTok Dancers to Recording Artists
Junior King first rose to prominence alongside his long-time dance partner, Kayla Peters aka Kay Medusa. The duo, who have been dancing together for the past 10 years, initially captivated audiences as dancers on TikTok.
Their creative partnership eventually expanded into music. Junior King made his debut as a recording artist with the release of his first EP, “Danser tot Rapper,” which was a collaboration with Kay. Beyond his music career, he was also the owner of the King Dance Studio in Port Elizabeth.
Last Post Showed Excitement for New Album
The tragedy comes just days after the rapper released his latest full-length album, “The Revenge Album,” on 5th December 5th.
In what is now his final public post on Facebook, Junior King expressed palpable excitement and anticipation, noting that the music video for his track “Noba Wie Se Wat” was only 100,000 likes short of a major milestone on the platform.
