Miss Cape Flats 2026 is a local empowerment initiative built for communities where gang violence, substance abuse and cycles of poverty have long narrowed the horizon for young people.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Cravenby Civic Hall on 18th April 2026. Entry is free for the public; however, the entry fee for the competition is R180. Winners stand a chance to win amazing prizes and gifts.

It will be MC’d by Venecia Valetine. Jaci Tibbit, Laverne Maart, Nateshia Michaels, and CJ Jackson will sit on the judging panel.

Miss Cape Flats is about more than beauty, fashion, or stage presence. It is about restoring hope, building confidence, and creating real opportunities for young individuals to see beyond the limitations of their environment. It offers participants a glimpse into a future filled with possibility – one where their voices matter, and their dreams are valid.

Spearheaded by Turn The Page, a dedicated nonprofit organisation, this initiative goes beyond a single event. It is the beginning of a sustained journey of mentorship, empowerment, and guidance. Turn The Page is committed to walking alongside these young individuals long after the final crown is placed to ensure continued support and development.

The City of Cape Town is backing the initiative, as have artists and changemakers such as beatboxer BenjiMan, Megan Herbert, Von d Kemp, Monray Holland and Charles Jones.

Their message is clear: too many lives are being lost to circumstances – and together, we can change that.

Miss Cape Flats 2026 is a celebration of courage, a stand against adversity, and a beacon of hope fur a generation that deserves more.

Because every young person deserves the chance to rise, to dream, and to turn the page.
